DigitalNow 2008: Save the Date!

This blog post contains our most recent DigitalNow press release, which can also be downloaded here.

(WEBSTER, NY, June 19, 2007) There’s only one thing association leaders need to do to stay on top of the latest in technology trends: Mark your calendars!

DigitalNow 2008
April 23 – 26, 2008
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Every day, new technological opportunities arise to help you manage your association. But you’re not in the business of scouring the Internet, reading piles of publications, and interviewing experts for the latest information. Who has time to sort through it all, anyway? Fusion Productions does. We do the research, present the data, and bring the experts to your doorstep so you can stay focused on your association’s mission. All you have to do is attend DigitalNow 2008.

At DigitalNow 2007, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales spoke about the power of community and collaborative authoring. Susan Scott rocked the house with her emboldened challenge to association leaders to have the “fierce conversations” that can affect real change. And to ensure that attendees derived the greatest benefit from the information she shared, Susan remained on site after her keynote, and facilitated an intimate conversation among association CEOs about how to encourage authentic communication in their organizations.

Author Chris Trimble explored the obstacle course of going from strategy to execution, and Stephen M.R. Covey inspired attendees to implement trust as the key enabler for all relationships and projects.

The DigitalNow Reality 2.0 panel “wowed” attendees by providing an honest, real-life representation of how tomorrow’s members are using technology and what they expect from the associations they participate in.

Videos, presentation slides, photographs and more from DigitalNow 2007 are available for download from the DigitalNow web site at http://www.fusionproductions.com/digitalnow

DigitalNow was sold out last year. It was sold out the year before. Don’t miss your opportunity to gain the advantage of what people are calling the best association management conference available.

Save the date and begin making plans to attend now… the only thing worse than missing DigitalNow is missing it again!

What attendees are saying about DigitalNow:

No other program has this combination of high level management concept education, practical application, and exposure to current and emerging technology and people trends.
-Thomas Powell, Executive Director
American Meat Science

It was the most progressive, dynamic, thought-provoking conference I've been to in sixteen years of association management.
-Carol Hendrick, Senior VP Strategic Development
National Funeral Directors Association

DigitalNow is all about 'Ah Ha!' moments.

Web analytics made simple (and free!)

In order to make decisions about your organization's web site, you need to know if people are visiting - and if they are, you need to understand where they're coming from, what they're doing when they get there, how long they stay and where they go when they leave.

Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to collect and analyze this sort of data, which can then be used to drive and support strategic web initiatives.

At ConversationMarketing.com, Ian Lurie offers a step-by-step tutorial on how to set up a Google Analytics account and how to install the code on a site.

We followed his instructions in order to install the Google Analytics code on the DigitalNow blog, and it only took us 5 minutes. As the Google site suggests, if you are not the person who updates your web site, you can still open the account, get the code and send it to your web site administrator or technical team.

We'll offer you an update on reading the report once we've collected some data, so stay tuned.
